Ryan Li Lockdown

I have painted myself with my parents and sister for this artwork, after René Magritte’s Paper gent. The tearing reveals the faces of my family, who wear masks. It symbolises the greater effects of the 2021 lockdown than what has been presented in the news. Each face shows a different emotion to represent the various experiences and responses of people during lockdown.
