Ciara Ennis Modern mum

I chose my mother as the subject of my portrait, as I wanted to show how many words and characteristics come together to embody my mum. The background is spray paint. I painted the words in oil paint in graffiti fonts and my mother in oil paint with medium. This is to show the changes in art styles throughout her lifetime and her journey up to today. My mum plays so many roles in my life – artist, teacher, and many others. This artwork is a celebration of her life.
