Jun Chen Dried bush

Charleville is situated in central Queensland. I travelled there recently to do some landscape painting. The orange field and hot weather caused the colour of the trees to look quite different to the trees on the east coastline. It is hard to describe it in words. Sometimes they looked brown and sometimes almost grey-purple. I did lots of small paintings while travelling around Charleville. Back in my studio, I painted this landscape, basing it on those small paintings. I named it Dried bush as that is how it felt to me when I was there.
