This portrait of Australian military leader Henry George (Harry) Chauvel (1865–1945) by WB McInnes is now in the collection of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra. Chauvel had apparently requested that McInnes paint him with his horse.

It is the last of three portraits of Chauvel in the Archibald: the earlier ones were by George Lambert in the 1922 competition and by Ernest Buckmaster in 1935.
