Chris Lloyd Apeiron

Semiotic images in society present me with paths that differ from the life I lead. They seem to guide me from conflict to resolution, but are mental illusions in the narrative of modern urban living: the labyrinth. We sometimes feel the urge to escape the city, but this illusion merely proves the all-permeating nature of deception.

The Apeiron is a cosmological theory of creation, embracing opposites like light and dark, real and unreal. It relates to my piece by being the link between the fictitious works we see in the world and the world that surrounds us in everyday life.
