Alissa Kennedy Theatre of plants

I explored the traditions of collection and display of natural forms, producing photographs of plants from my garden which I manipulated digitally. Important for me was to examine the value placed on new technology and its ability to ‘improve’ upon nature, and to highlight current genetic engineering issues. The overtly symmetrical patterns and highly saturated colours convey my fascination with balance and order.
